The side profile was a key focus from the start. Working with Grit, we pushed every detail to reflect speed and aggression. Air-grille details run across the side, back, and C-port area for a sharper look, while the four-piece contrasting side panels add greater depth and a stacked, layered feel.

We also ran a wraparound light strip from the side all the way to the USB-C port to mimic the look of car taillights. The idea was to give the keyboard some cool ambient lighting vibes without it getting in the way of regular use.

For the back, we wanted to channel that race car rear-end vibe. With a lot of input from the community during development, we ended up splitting the Torque's back into three sections, each with its own material and color combo. To keep it clean but not too plain, we threw in a small black PVD stainless steel badge and some intake-grille-like bits on the sides to tie it all together.

When it came to the mounting structure, Torque went through two rounds of prototyping and testing before we found our answer: the Poron gasket. It simply worked best for what we were trying to achieve.

One of the most talked-about challenges with strip-style gaskets is alignment—keeping everything in place over time. For the Torque-L, Kenny introduced metal locating pins at all four corners to lock the internal assembly in position.

The result speaks for itself: no unwanted shifts, and a typing experience that strikes the perfect balance—firm yet not rigid, crisp yet not loose.
